Overview
As a Digital Forensics Specialist, you'll bridge our technology and the real-world needs of law enforcement and prosecutors. You'll work directly with founders and engineers to ensure ClearPath.AI meets rigorous standards for courtroom presentation — while the product is still being shaped, not after.
Key Responsibilities
- •Provide subject matter expertise on digital forensics workflows and best practices
- •Collaborate with founders to define features that meet investigator needs
- •Test and validate new features from a forensics and legal perspective
- •Develop training materials and documentation for law enforcement users
- •Conduct user research with investigators, prosecutors, and legal teams
- •Ensure product features are designed for proper chain of custody and auditability
- •Review and validate evidence processing workflows for legal compliance
- •Serve as a technical liaison between EvidaraIQ and law enforcement agencies
- •Stay current with digital forensics tools, techniques, and legal requirements
- •Contribute to product roadmap planning with forensics expertise
Requirements
- •Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Criminal Justice, or related field
- •3+ years of experience in digital forensics, e-discovery, or related field
- •Certification in digital forensics (e.g., GCFA, GCFE, CFCE, or equivalent)
- •Experience with digital forensics tools (e.g., EnCase, FTK, Cellebrite, X-Ways)
- •Understanding of chain of custody requirements and legal evidence standards
- •Knowledge of file systems, data recovery, and evidence preservation
- •Familiarity with mobile device forensics and cloud data extraction
- •Strong written and verbal communication skills
- •Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- •Experience working with law enforcement or legal teams
Preferred Qualifications
- •Advanced degree in Digital Forensics, Cybersecurity, or related field
- •Experience as a digital forensics examiner in law enforcement
- •Knowledge of courtroom testimony and evidence presentation
- •Experience with AI/ML tools in forensics workflows
- •Understanding of encryption, steganography, and anti-forensics techniques
- •Experience with large-scale evidence processing and case management
- •Familiarity with regulatory compliance (e.g., CJIS, HIPAA)
- •Active security clearance or ability to obtain one
